# Item

## Items are the third hierarchy and can hold modifiers and sizes&#x20;

## Item features

While hovering on an item there are 4 icons on the right:

* Edit - Enter the edit category screen
* Duplicate - Duplicate an item with all of it's contents.
* Delete - Deleting the category. **Cannot be undone**.
* 3 Lines / hamburger - Moving the item up and down to change the order of appearance on the app.

## Editing an item

After pressing on the pencil icon the Item editor opens:

### Item:

* Item Name -The name of the item that will be shown on the app.
* Description - Enter a description of the item.
* Metadata - Insert internal notes that would be shown only at the backoffice. We could use this feature if we have two items that have a slight difference between them for two locations.&#x20;

* Unavailable In - Allows you to limit a certain item to be available only at certain locations.
* Item Type - Enter the item's type, Regular or Pizza (This will make the pizza toppings available for the pizza items).&#x20;
* Minimum Allowed Count - Allows you to set a minimum amount of the same items to purchase (Relevant only if grater then 1)&#x20;
* Size Category - Allows you to insert different prices and PLU's/Barcodes under the same item&#x20;

**This option is relevant if all items have the same modifier groups.**&#x20;

* Replace Image \ Upload Image - Click and choose the item's image from your computer (image must be under 400 KB).

* Show Advanced Specific Menus - Allows you to set different prices for different menus.

### Ingredient:

In order to activate the Ingredient option you'd have to go to Setup->Ingredients and insert a value under POS Link for "Without Item" (any value would do).&#x20;

Click Add ingredient and type the ingredient's name.&#x20;

* Mandatory - Click to make the ingredient mandatory.&#x20;
* Link - You would need to link the ingredient to the "No Ingredient" option in your POS. For example, if you add Tomato Sauce as an ingredient you would have to link it to the No Tomato Sauce PLU / Barcode in order for it to be printed as "No Tomato Sauce".

### Item Option:

Here we set the modifier groups for the item. We can build the groups in 2 ways:

-Create the group manually by adding each modifier separately in the Item.

* To create a new modifier group simply click "Add options group" and insert the name of the group and then insert the modifiers by clicking "Add option".&#x20;
* While hovering on an Option Group there are 8 options on the right:

  * Min - Minimum amount of modifiers that need to be chosen for the group. This is Relevant if the modifier group is set to be required in the POS.
  * Max Included- Limits the maximum amount of modifiers that can be chosen for the option group without an extra fee.
  * Max With Extra Fee - Sets the maximum amount of modifiers that can be chosen for the group.&#x20;
  * Extra Fee - Charges a set price for all the modifier in the group after the user passes the number of modifiers included (Max Included). This box is only relevant if all the modifiers are set to have the same price.
  * Enable multi select - enables the end user to select more than one of each modifier (eg. add 3 times additional banana to their shake). - see image below.
  * Parent - We can choose a parent group for the modifier group, this means that the group will be shown only if the user makes a selection for the modifier group that is set as the parent.
  * Template - This box connects the group to the group modifier group in the setup and allows you to make changes in the future easily.
  * Delete - Deleting the group. **Cannot be undone**.
  * 3 Lines / hamburger - Moving the group up and down to change the order of appearance on the app.

* Add a new modifier by clicking "Add option".
* While hovering over a modifier there are 6 icons on the right:
  * Price - Set the modifier's price.&#x20;
  * Gear icon- Allows you to set a different price between different menus and even make certain modifiers unavailable for certain menus.&#x20;
  * Default - Allows to make the modifier a default modifier.
  * Trash Icon - Delete Modifier.
  * Link icon - Connect the modifier to a PLU / Barcode.
  * 3 Lines / hamburger - Moving the modifier up and down to change the order of appearance on the app.

Create the group at the Setup tab under Menu and choose the group for the item from a scroll down menu.&#x20;

## Toppings

#### This segment is relevant for pizza items only.

In order to activate the Toppings option you'd have to go to Setup ->  Toppings and insert a value under POS Link for all portions (any value would do).&#x20;

Also, insert what you would like the ticket to say : Full portion, Left Half and Right Half.

Last, do not forget to enter Pizza as the item's type.

Just like the modifier groups,  We can build the topping category in 2 ways:

-Create the group manually by adding each topping separately for the Item.

* To create a new topping category simply click "Add topping category" and insert the name of the category and then insert the toppings by clicking "Add topping".&#x20;
* While hovering on an topping category there are 6 options on the right:
  * Min - Minimum amount of toppings that need to be chosen for the group. This is Relevant if the topping category is set to be required in the POS.
  * Max Included- Limits the maximum amount of toppings that can be chosen for the option group without an extra fee.
  * Max With Extra Fee - Sets the maximum amount of toppings that can be chosen for the group.&#x20;
  * Extra Fee - Charges a set price for all the toppings in the group after the user passes the number of toppings included (Max Included). This box is only relevant if all the toppings are set to have the same price.
  * Delete - Deleting the category. **Cannot be undone**.
  * 3 Lines / hamburger - Moving the category up and down to change the order of appearance on the app.

* Add a new topping by clicking "Add topping".

* While hovering on a topping there are 4 options on the right:

  * Description - Enter a description to the topping.
  * Default - Allows to make the topping default.
  * Trash Icon - Delete topping.
  * 3 Lines / hamburger - Moving the topping up and down to change the order of appearance on the app.

* Under the topping you'd have to mark the portions you want as available.

* While hovering on a portion there are 3 options on the right:
  * Price - Set the portion's price
  * Gear icon- Allows you to set a different price between different menus and even make certain toppings unavailable for certain menus.&#x20;
  * Link icon - Connect the modifier to a PLU / Barcode.
